Last Sunday, the town of Aylesbury, England erected the world's first statue of the late David Bowie.  Bowie debuted his persona Ziggy Stardust at a gig in Aylesbury in 1972.

The statue's creators didn't believe a single figure would be enough to "commemorate all of Bowie’s artistic identities," so a composite was built.  The statue depicts an older Bowie looking upon his younger persona, along with other Bowie personalities including Aladdin Sane, the Goblin King, and Lazarus.

The statue was sculpted by Andrew Sinclair, and funded through a local Kickstarter campaign.
