Fort Worth Boy Donates Hearing Aids

Fort Worth Boy Starts A GoFundMe To Give Hearing Aids To Others

Wait until you read why he's doing this!

March 15, 2018

There's a Fort Worth 11-year-old who's setting the bar for the rest of us.

Blame Chewy, young Braden Baker's dog - who's eaten Braden hearing aids twice now. Braden's worn hearing aids since he was a baby - but when Braden's mom told him how much they cost, he realized how many kids couldn't afford the devices he depends on. So, he started his own GoFundMe account to raise money to buy hearing aids for those other kids.

The $75,000 he's raised so far is just the start, too - since last fall, Braden got to go to Guatemala for his birthday. There he watched a hundred people get new hearing aids - and dance when they heard music for the very first time.

Braden's already planning a trip to Zambia, and this weekend he's been asked to give a TED X Talk in Garland. To quote the kid, "Find your purpose and do something with it".

Not bad for 11. Not bad at all.
