There is growing opposition to the upcoming opening of a sex doll brothel in Houston.

Toronto based 'Kinky S Dolls' plans to open it's first US location in the Galleria area.  David Gamboa with Elijah Rising, a Houston organization dedicated to ending human trafficking says "we believe these brothels represent the idea that these women's bodies are property.  That's the major issue of sex trafficking."

Gamboa adds customers will tire of the dolls and move on to real women.  "What's the next step from that?  It's going next door and purchasing a woman at the brothel.  A majority of the time the women are there because they have been sex trafficked.  We believe this is going to create an increase of demand for the purchase of sex in our city."

Gamboa understands the business is not against the law, but says "robot brothels is a new frontier for a lot of people and there are not regulation, so we want to voice our concerns on what we think the trajectory of this business could be."

He adds there are practical concerns about the brothel being a public health risk.

Over 7,000 people have signed a petition to keep the brothel from opening.
