Christmas is inching closer and closer, and while some of our neighbors up North have been experiencing Winter luxuries for a couple of months now, we Texans aren’t as lucky.
Still, we aren’t going to let a couple of 70 degree days ruin our Winter fun our we? There are still PLENTY of spots around DFW where you can mix in some Wintery fun into your daily routines, including a healthy dose of ice skating! Some of these rinks will feature artificial ice, but the majority are the REAL THING!
Skate around what’s being called the tallest indoor Christmas tree in the country, and it’s in our hometown!
There are locations in Euless, Farmers Branch, Frisco, McKinney, Plano, and Richardson which are ALL open for skating! In Frisco, you can enjoy holiday skating through Christmas Eve, Winter Wonderland-themed skating from December 26th through January 1st, and Skate With Santa on Dec. 22!

If ice isn’t your thing, but ice skating is, the Squarebody Saloon, near Fair Park, has a rink featuring synthetic ice that is, according to them, essentially “wax-covered plastic.” Squarebody Saloon expects to keep the rink open through January 21st!
