They always say everything is bigger in Texas, and boy they are right.  Of the 15 fastest growing cities in the United States, Texas has more cities than any other state with four making an appearance in the list.

The list, put together by Forbes, bases its rankings on population growth, specifically between July 2014 and July 2015.

The first two spots on our list are actually occupied by some Texas towns.  The list looks like this:

15-San Antonio-New Braunfels, TX.  Population Gain: 51,285.

14-Austin-Round Rock, TX.  Population Gain: 57,395.

13-Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater, FL.  Population Gain: 57,412.

12-Denver-Aurora-Lakewood, CO.  Population Gain: 58,474.

11-San Francisco-Oakland-Hayward, CA.  Population Gain: 60,152.

10-Orlando-Kissimmee-Sanford, FL.  Population Gain: 60,409.

9-Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue, WA.  Population Gain: 60,714.

8-Washington-Arlington-Alexandra, DC-VA-MD-WV.  Population Gain: 63,793.

7-Miami-Fort Lauderdale-West Palm Beach, FL.  Populaiton Gain: 75,231.

6-Los Angeles-Long Beach-Anaheim, CA.  Population Gain: 85,671.

5-New York-Newark-Jersey City, NY-NJ.  Population Gain: 87,186.

4-Phoenix-Mesa-Scottsdale, AZ.  Population Gain: 87,988.

3-Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Roswell, GA.  Population Gain: 95,431.

2-Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington, TX.  Population Gain: 144,704.

1-Houston, The Woodlands, Sugar Land, TX.  Population Gain: 159,083.
