During a recent interview with Mark Hamill he revealed that he was unaware of the real life romance between his co-stars Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford.
Saying that he should have seen it coming, recounted his short-lived romance with co-star Anne Wyndham while on the show General Hospital in the early 1970’s.
Quoted as being “blissfully unaware” he said, “I was so self-involved at that point, they could’ve been doing it in front of me and I wouldn’t have noticed,” he joked. “I was single and had my own agenda.”
“I think it might have been a distraction if I’d known what was going on,” Hamill added. He also said that if he knew about it he might have tried to convince them from being involved since those types of relationships can be tricky to navigate while filming if it ends before filming is finished.
“If the relationship doesn’t last and you’re on a TV series and you got four more seasons to go, it can be really awkward,” he said.
