If you decided to road trip for the Thanksgiving holiday, you may want to pay extra attention for the trip home.
A new study conducted by Car Insurance Comparison found that the nation’s worst drivers reside in Texas and Louisiana. Data published by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration was analyzed, specifically the amount of road fatalities, failure to obey road rules, drunk driving, speeding, and careless driving. This data determined that Texas and Louisiana tied for #1 with the worst drivers in the nation.
South Carolina, North Dakota, and Delaware rounded out the bottom five states, while the top five include Minnesota, Vermont, Virginia, Iowa and Rhode Island.
To put this into perspective, the reasearch says a person has died on a Texas road every day for the last 16 years.
