As much of Louisiana sits underwater and residents experience what has been labeled as one of the worst natural disasters in history; President Obama is silent and still on vacation. He has refused to go and survey the flooding, he has refused to even acknowledge the disaster, until earlier this week. The president sent a letter to the state warning against “unlawful discrimination on the basis of race, color, or national origin (including limited English proficiency).”

The president sent a 16-page guidance on Tuesday, to Louisiana in response to state-wide flooding.
The Obama administration warned Louisiana recipients of federal disaster assistance to not engage in racial discrimination.

President Obama has come under major fire for sticking to his golf vacation on Martha’s Vineyard, instead of doing his job as President.

Most of Louisiana took offense to the guidance letter, that repeatedly points out past experiences that “numerous media reports [that] showed images of African Americans stranded on roofs in New Orleans.”

Louisianians have said “residents knee-deep in rescue efforts don’t appreciate being painted with the administration’s broad brush.”
