George Clooney has revealed that his acting days may be numbered. The handsome, 54 year old spoke with the BBC and contributed his age as the factor, saying “I think nobody really wants to see anybody really age. It’s a very unforgiving thing, the cameras, and so aging becomes something that you try to do less and less on screen, you know? You try to pick the films that work best for you and as you age, they become less and less.”
So what will George pursue instead? He says at this point in his career, “it’s much more fun to me, and it’s infinitely more creative, to be directing.” Clooney already has a number of directing credits under his belt, including, The Ides of March and The Monuments Men. However, I still think George Clooney will make a run for politics. He’s an active humanitarian, focusing on the end of human atrocities with the Not On Our Watch Project. He also organized the Hope for Haiti Now telethon to collect donations after the 2010 earthquake in Haiti, to name a few. Plus, his wife Amal, a human rights attorney, would make for an excellent first lady.
