Here are a couple of “arty activities for you to check out in Fort Worth:

First, if you dig the works of Picasso and Matisse, then you need to check out the exhibitThe Age of Picasso and Matisse: Modern Masters from the Art Institute of Chicago” at the Kimbell Art Museum.

And before you take another selfie in the bathroom mirror, you need to visit the Amon Carter Museum for the “Color! American Photography Transformed exhibit.

This exhibit features 75 works of photography that trace how color changed the landscape of the art form.

And if you didn’t think the Dallas Wind Symphony was cool, think again!

This evening at the Meyerson, the Symphony will present “Mars Attacks!

This performance will boldly go where no band has gone before — performing some of the COOLEST music of the past 50 years from creature features like “Alien,” “Close Encounters of the Third Kind” and “Independence Day.”
