In 1994, Hootie & the Blowfish became overnight sensations with the release of their debut, Cracked Rear View. The album was a massive success for the South Carolina band, reaching No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and selling over 16 million copies just in the U.S.
The second single, “Let Her Cry,” was a Top 10 hit, and it also won a Grammy for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal in 1996.
The music video for “Let Her Cry” was directed by Adolfo Doring.
