Gregg Allman of the Allman Brothers Band had to delay his upcoming book tour to undergo diagnostic cardiac testing at the Mayo clinic.

Now Gregg Allman has been cleared to begin his tour in support of his memoir My Cross To Bear.

Rolling Stone is reporting that after passing a series of heart tests Last week Gregg Allaman has been told by doctors he is “A-Okay” to hit the road.

The book hit shelves yesterday. Traditionally authors e make the TV rounds before the book was in stores, but do to the series of tests that Allman needed he had to delay his appearances on The Colbert Report and Piers Morgan Tonight. He will begin his book-signing tour on May 8th.

Allman and the rest of the Allman Brothers Band will be hitting the road this summer. The group announced their full tour itinerary earlier this week:
