Jack Runs For Berry’s

The Berry Family’s tragic story made national headlines last year and now the Dallas Metroplex is coming together to support the surviving children.

Organized by local residents/runners Kyle Stevens (Race Director) and Teel Tishgart (Race Coordinator), this race is about, families spending time together, having fun and celebrating.

Neither organizer knew the Berry Family, but they were both compelled to give back. “I just couldn’t shake the feeling that this story mirrored my own life. I would hope that anyone and everyone would step up if my children suffered the same horrific situation,” said Tishgart. Stevens survived a serious car wreck as a child and felt this was his chance to pay it forward.  While Tishgart, wife and mother of three young girls, knew that this fluke accident could have happened to anyone.

The Berry Family 5K will be held in Plano on Saturday, March 24. Runners, walkers and volunteers can sign up today to participate in the event at www.berryfamily5k.org.
