Last month, Queen guitarist Brian May said he and drummer Roger Taylor were gearing up to comb through the vaults to find previously unreleased Freddie Mercury vocals tracks to use on a new album

But I guess there was unreleased stuff than they thought.

But now, Taylor says “there won’t be an album” because “there’s just not enough” material in on hand, adding, “And the last thing I want to do is have a sort of barrel-scraping exercise.”

Mercury died in 1991, 20 years ago.  Interest in him is still raging. Which is why a movie biopic him is being planned.
