LEN’s hit song Steal My Sunshine has an interesting origin story that went on to receive attention for its efforts.
The video received Best Video, Best Pop Video, and Favorite Canadian Video at the MuchMusic Video Awards.
The song was written by Marc Costanzo who went on to direct the music video with Bradley Walsh. So they were allotted $100,000 and went to Daytona Beach, Florida with 2 dozen friends to shoot. Most of the money was spent on alcohol. They bought so much in fact that they broke the elevator when trying to get it to their room. And so the music video consisted of them, without script or storyboard, relaxing, having fun on go karts and jet skis, and partying in Florida. Sounds pretty good.
For winning 3 awards, that seems like an easy video to make. Check it out.
