53238124 The Worst Songs Of The 90s

The 90’s, a magical time where great songs like “Smells Like Teen Spirit” by Nirvana and “Sabotoge” by Beastie Boys ruled the air ways. Back when all music was good right, not so fast my friend. The 90’s was also littered with terrible songs, does everybody remember “Livin’ la Vida Loca” by Ricky Martin?

Rolling Stone recently asked its readers what the ten worst songs of the 90’s were. It’s a list full of music so bad you almost have to like it…almost.

10. “What’s Up” by 4 Non Blondes

Even Linda Perry the bands front woman didn’t like her song. She recently told Rolling Stone,“I wasn’t really a big fan of my band.”

9. “I’m Too Sexy” by Right Said Fred

We get it your sexy. Enough all ready.

8. “Who Let The Dogs Out?” by Baha Men

I wonder if anyone ever figured out the answer to this question.

7.”My Heart Will Go On” by Celine Dion

I’ll never let go, Jack. I promise.

6.”MMMBop” by Hanson

Don’t lie you know you thought this song was awesome. You sang right along every time it played on the radio.

5.”Tubthumping” by Chumbawamba

So what happens when they get knocked down?

4.”Ice Ice Baby” by Vanilla Ice

The Vanilla Ice version of this song wasn’t very good, however I highly recommend the Queen and David Bowie version. Mr. Ice should have stuck to a more traditional remake.

3.”Achy Breaky Heart” by Billy Ray Cyrus

Now I can see where Miley inherited all of her musical talent from.

2.”Macarena” by Los Del Rio

Can you still do the dance?

1.”Barbie Girl” by Aqua

Inspiring musical acts today like Rebecca Black and William Hung, I would like to Congratulate Aqua for producing the worst piece of crap the 90’s had to offer. They should be proud of themselves. I’m sure it wasn’t easy.

Well there you have it. Thanks to Rolling Stone and it’s readers for putting together that list.

However I have a real problem with a list of worst songs of the 90’s that doesn’t even consider “The Sign” by Ace of Base.

I’ll admit this is the first time I’ve actually listened to the words of this song or watched this video, when the song came on it was so prevalent I actually tuned it out and never heard it. Obviously I didn’t miss much.
