Jack’s Song Of The Day: Pet Shop Boys

Since tomorrow is Thanksgiving and you will be forced to spend time with your families, we decided to give you something to talk about between awkward pauses at the table!

Your favorite British Synthpop duo, Pet Shop Boys , has just released a greatest hits album, which features a brand new song called ‘Together’!

Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe met in an electronic store in Chelsea, London back in 1981.  They soon found out they had the same interest in dance music and shortly after they started making their own!

They started out as West End but later changed their name to Pet Shop Boys which derived from friends of theirs who worked in a pet shop in Ealing.

They have put out 10 studio albums and have been nominated numerous times for Grammys and Brit Awards!  Last year they received the Outstanding Contribution to Music award!

They released Ultimate, their greatest hits album, at the beginning of this month.  The record features 19 of their most popular tunes and their latest single ‘Together’.  The duo also released a Deluxe Edition of the album that includes a  DVD with previously unreleased performances from the BBC as well as their 2010 headlining performance at Glastonbury!
